Ivory Coast: Africa’s Foremost Natural Rubber Export Engine
Côte d'Ivoire is currently the #3 natural rubber producer globally and the undisputed leader in Africa, blessed with ideal equatorial soil conditions, optimal rainfall patterns, and high-yielding Hevea brasiliensis clonal varieties.
From our state-of-the-art processing facility located right within the industrial corridor of Abidjan, Tounko operates heavy-duty crepeing batteries, high-temperature shredder drying ovens, and automatic hydraulic bale presses designed to transform coagulum and cup lump into top-tier Technically Specified Rubber 10 (TSR10).
Strict Cup Lump Selection
Direct collection from audited hevea plantations, filtered for dirt, bark, and latex coagulum integrity.
Continuous In-House QA Lab
Every production lot is tested for Wallace Plasticity, PRI, ash, and volatile matter before warehouse packing.
Crepeing & Washing
Multi-stage macerators, hammer mills, and series battery crepers remove dirt and coagulate latex to uniform crumb porosity.
Tunnel Drying
Precision temperature-controlled tunnel driers ensure complete moisture reduction (<0.80% volatile matter) without degradation.
35kg Hydraulic Press
High-density baling at 35 kg per unit, wrapped instantly in protective low-density polyethylene (LDPE) to eliminate contamination.
Container Stuffing
Factory-direct 20ft container loading (19.2 MT / 548 bales) with desiccant protection and sealed container drayage to Abidjan Port.

Autonomous Port of Abidjan: Rapid Transit to Europe, Asia & Americas
Located just 38 km from the Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA)—West Africa's most modern deep-water container transshipment hub (CIT container terminal with 16m draft)—Tounko ensures unmatched export reliability, eliminating long inland transit delays that plague competing inland producers.
Direct Factory-to-Vessel Drayage
Dedicated fleet of GPS-tracked container chassis transferring stuffed 20ft FCLs directly into the port terminal within 3 hours of sealing.
Direct Ocean Carrier Alliances
Contracted allocations on tier-1 global carriers (MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO) ensuring guaranteed equipment and slot availability.
Pre-Shipment Inspection (SGS / BV)
Full cooperation with international inspection agencies (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna) for independent weight and quality verification prior to Bill of Lading release.

100% EUDR Compliant: Deforestation-Free Rubber Supply Chain
Under Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR), natural rubber imports into the European Union mandate rigorous polygon GPS mapping down to the individual smallholder plot. Tounko delivers fully audit-ready Due Diligence Statements (DDS).
GPS Polygon Farm Mapping
Every batch of cup lump received at Tounko is tagged with verified polygon coordinates (>4 hectares) or single GPS points (<4 hectares) of the originating hevea trees in Lagunes, Bas-Sassandra, and Gôh-Djiboua regions.
Post-2020 Cut-Off Date Verification
Historical satellite imagery audits ensure that no rubber sourced for Tounko originates from land deforested after December 31, 2020, complying strictly with European environmental regulations and FSC/PEFC benchmarks.
Smallholder Fair Partnership & Water Care
We partner directly with 4,500+ Ivorian smallholder farming families, offering prompt digital payments and agronomic training. Our Abidjan processing plant utilizes biological effluent water treatment ponds before discharge.

Frequently Asked Procurement Questions
What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for Tounko TSR10?
Our minimum export order is 1 x 20ft Full Container Load (FCL), containing 19.20 Metric Tons (548 standard 35kg bales wrapped in LDPE). For long-term annual supply contracts, we accommodate recurring monthly multi-container schedules.
How does Tounko fulfill EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) mandates?
Every container export comes accompanied by an electronic Due Diligence Statement (DDS) containing verified polygon GPS coordinates for every smallholder hevea plantation plot involved, satellite-audited for zero post-2020 deforestation and ready for submission into the EU TRACES database.
Can we feed Tounko TSR10 bales directly into our internal Banbury mixers?
Yes. All bales are individually wrapped in virgin Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) film with a controlled melting point strictly below 109°C. During high-shear Banbury compounding, the film disperses completely into the elastomer matrix without leaving unvulcanized residues.
What payment terms and Incoterms are accepted?
We export under FOB Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA), CFR, and CIF destination port terms. Accepted payment mechanisms include 100% Irrevocable Confirmed Letter of Credit (L/C at sight) opened by a top-tier international bank, or Telegraphic Transfer (T/T).
